There are 3 ways to factory reset a gateway.

1. Holding down Reset Button
2. From AceManager
3. From ALMS

Holding Reset Button

RV/MP/LX gateway
Press and hold the reset button for 7-10 seconds until the Power LED turn red. This will indicate a user-initiated hardware factory reset.

GX/ES gateway
Press and hold the reset button for 7-10 seconds until all four LEDs turn red. This will indicate a user-initiated hardware factory reset.

From AceManager

  1. Log into AceManager.

  2. Navigate to Admin -> Advanced.

  3. Click on Reset to Factory Default option.

From AirLink Management Service (ALMS)

  1. Log into ALMS.

  2. Navigate to Monitor -> Systems, and select a specific device that needs to be factory reset.

  3. Click on the More drop-down box and select Factory reset.

The device will factory reset the next time it checks-in to ALMS as per the configured synchronization setting. By default, this is 24 hours.

** Factory reset on ALMS only applies for GX450, ES450, MP, RV and LX modems that communicate on the LWM2M Protocol **
