MG90 can be configured to connect to Access Point so when the unit is in range of Access Point it can use Access Point for data instead of using cellular connection. The Wi-Fi Networks tab is used to create and maintain configuration details for the Wi-Fi networks (access points) that the MG90 can connect to.

Step-by-step guide

  1. Under Devices>Wifi – One of the Wifi Modules needs to be set to WAN as below. Depending on the Wifi Module set as WAN (Wifi A or Wifi B), Wifi Antenna need to be connected to the corresponding Port at the back of the unit.

  2. Under WAN>Wifi Networks>Click on Add New Wifi Network
    - Enter Friendly Name (This can be anything),
    - SSID(This is the SSID of your wifi eg Name of your home wifi),
    - WPA Pre-Shared key (this is the password for your Wifi) and Reenter password again in Retype WPA Pre-Shared Key and save.

  3. Go to WAN>Links>>click on Configure for Wifi Link and for Wifi Networks select the wifi network, it will show Friendly Name of Wifi you configured and save.

  4. Once this is done Check to see if it's working under Status>WAN.
