MG90 Correct Radio Firmware not Installed

If firmware upgrades are enabled (Active or All) and SIM-based Carrier Switching is enabled, the MG90 compares the firmware images running on the cellular modules against the inserted SIM(s) on boot up. If different images are required (e.g. an AT&T SIM is inserted in SIM slot A1 and the current image is intended for Verizon), the MG90 will attempt to automatically ‘switch’ the image (install the appropriate firmware on the module). If SIM-based switching is not enabled, module firmware can be installed by manually ‘forcing’ a firmware switch.

The unit will get online with whatever radio firmware is installed on the unit. Radio Firmware will show under Status>WAN>Show Extended Status>Carrier PRI ID (Under Cellular A or B).

If switching is enabled (Under General>Auto Software Updates>Radio Module Firmware Options)for a module and an image switch is required (determined when the MG90 boots), an appropriate image will be selected from the MG90’s stored images. If none is available, the correct image is automatically downloaded from AMM and installed on next boot.

Other option is to manually add Firmware under Radio Module Firmware Available and In the Radio Module Firmware Available section, select CA, CB, or Both from the Force Firmware list for the firmware to be loaded on the cellular module(s).
