Description
There are 4 ways to reboot the ALEOS gateway:
Reset button on the gateway
ACEmanager
AirVantage (Subscription based service)
SMS
Using reset button on device
On the gateway, press the Reset button for 1–5 seconds (Release the button when the Power LED flashes green).
Note: Holding reset button longer than this may factory reset the gateway or put the gateway into recovery mode.
Using ACEmanager
1. Access and login to ACEmanager.
2 . Click Reboot button.
Using AirVantage (ALMS)
If you have a valid account and your gateways is added to this service please go to https://na.airvantage.net/login
Click on Monitor >> Systems
Select the gateway(s) that you would like to reboot
Click on the Reboot button, the next time the gateway checks in the gateway will reboot
Using SMS
If your gateway has a SIM inserted and SMS service is activated, you can send SMS to ALEOS gateway to reboot it.
1. Remember or write down your last 4 digits of the SIM ICCID.
2. Use any device which can send SMS to gateway such as your phone.
3. Send SMS to gateway with content PW <4 digit> &&&reset.
For example: If the gateway has a SIM with ICCID 89845509161049621244. You can use your cell phone and send SMS to your gateway with content “PW 1244 &&&reset” then the gateway will reboot. When the gateway successfully reboots, it send back an SMS to your phone with content “reply from <device’s serial number>: Device has been reset”.
